As a woman nearing 30, I’ve recently become fascinated by the idea of aligning my diet and workouts with my menstrual cycle. For years, my period was the enemy. I’d experience debilitating nausea and vomiting, often requiring medical intervention. Countless tests later, the diagnosis was always the same: hormone imbalance. It’s safe to say I developed a pretty strained relationship with my monthly cycle.
But things are changing. I’m slowly rebuilding my respect for my body and its natural rhythms. A big part of that involves understanding my nutritional needs on a deeper level. I’m exploring the world of cycle syncing – eating in a way that supports the different phases of my menstrual cycle. As a vegetarian, this presents some unique challenges, but I’m committed to figuring it out.
This blog is a chronicle of my personal journey. I’ll be sharing the foods I’m incorporating into my diet as I experiment and try to create a sustainable routine. Consider this my own little food diary of cycle-syncing adventures!
